Sisterhood of the traveling, gold dress

As some of you know, my interest in vintage and redesign has prompted the opening of my very own Etsy store online. As much as I love shopping for these pieces, it's also been innovative and fun bringing them to the public and getting others as excited about vintage clothing as someone once did for me!

This gold dress has such a cool bit of history behind it. I discovered it at a vintage house that also deals in MGM costumes and set pieces. The dress had been labeled from the mid-70's and had been vetted by the buyer. It was one of the first things I bought that was true vintage and a piece of Hollywood history.
Because I sew, I was also able to fix the zipper, strengthen all the seams, steam and re-work it into mint condition. I got to wear it out a few times and finally decided it should find an Etsy home so that another adventurous lady could enjoy it as much as me.

Enter Anna, an Etsy client who contacted me wanting the dress for an upcoming, gold-themed party. I sent her the dress and she was lovely enough to share her styling pics with me. I was so pleased with how beautifully she put it all together that I really wanted to share it with you.
Here she is rocking this floor length, vintage gown and looking like the belle of the ball!

I really love when clothing gets a second life.

With Love,

Noa B
