Color blocking has been a favorite trend of mine for the past year. But it's still hard sometimes for me to jump outside my comfort zone of neutrals and black.

Today I got the urge though, perhaps because it's so darn sunny outside. And I do love my colored denim which I've been looking for multiple ways to wear all week.

Red and pink combined are traditionally "no-no's" that in recent months have become "yes-yes's"! Don't think Valentine's Day, think color blocking a pansy or a stargazer. It's like wearing a spring flower.

And because my balcony is warm but Santa Monica is still a little cool for breakfast, a fuzzy cover-up to shake off the morning, marine layer of chill. When it gets a little warmer still, I'll do this with open toed wedges...
